I am one of the partners at The Game Crafter and wanted to thank you for featuring us in your article. I enjoyed it and wanted to share a few things with you. First, Dr. Bernie Dodge contacted us about a year ago and informed us that our service was being incorporated into his classes. We were really excited to see this because when we launched the service we thought teachers and professors would have a use for it. One of our other partners was even invited to speak as a special guest in his class and so he was able to share the inspiration behind The Game Crafter business and what we are hoping to accomplish in the game industry.

Another interesting point is that the #1 best selling game in our online shop right now is an educational game. It’s called Mathino and it’s a card game that teaches math skills in a fun and interesting way! We definitely want to see more educational games being produced through our service. If you know of any opportunities for us to reach a large group of educators, (aside from being covered in your website of course), please let us know and we’ll be happy to participate!

Finally, something that’s really exciting about our service. One of our self-publishers who uses our service to make and sell his own game, just recently won a very prestigious award in the gaming industry! Matt Worden self-publishes his game, Jump Gate, through The Game Crafter. Recently he was notified that he won the Traditional Game of the Year Award from Games Magazine! This award typically goes to a mainstream game that is widely distributed and managed by a large game publisher . However, this year Matt was was able to use our service to self-publish his own game and win! This just gives you perspective on what’s possible with our service. Hope you find that inspiring!
